When I posted the artwork from the Open House at school in an earlier blog, none of Emma's pieces were included, because they were not displayed at that time. So here are her pieces:
The decorations on this bronze piece are completely Emma's originals.
This piece started only with the eyes. The kids had to fill in each lock with their own ideas. Each lock has the same pattern throughout.
At first, I thought this piece was a bit odd in content. Then Emma explained to me that each square in the grid had a pre-printed mark, and then the kids had to turn it into one complete picture. The original marks are at the bottom of the picture. Emma's sketch of the Wedding dress goes down into that part, so it's a bit difficult to depict. I wondered why she had made the top of the cake straight across, because she normally would make it rounded. Emma didn't like how the bride's arm turned out, but it follows the original marks they were given very well, I think. I especially like how she put a Jewish hat on the groom to complement his divided hair (again, an original mark given to complete).
This self-portrait was done with tracing their features onto some sort of wax-thing (if I remember correctly) that was on a mirror. Emma's is excellent. Most kids' portraits were distorted.
The egg is actually Robert's artwork:

WOW, that is some seriously impressive artwork. I can't believe how talented all of your kids are in Art. They are amazing.
Wow! Pretty amazing! I looked at it earlier, but didn't leave a comment, but I was very impressed! I guess Emma has the Grandpa Robertson talent!
