10 March 2008: Elizabeth turns 10 years old!

Happy Birthday Elizabeth!
We had a lot of fun making animal cupcakes. We saw this adorable idea in a magazine, bought the magazine, and then lost it before we could make the cupcakes (still haven't found it). But we had fun being creative and thinking of our own ideas anyway! (click on photo to see larger image)

Robert loses his first tooth!

Thursday, 13th March 2008
When I pulled out Robert's tooth, I tied the floss around the base and then yanked. As per usual, I didn't yank hard enough (ouch). So I then yanked super hard and Robert lost his tooth. When I looked at my floss, the knot was empty...not only did Robert lose his tooth, but I also lost his tooth. Luckily, the Tooth Fairy always knows when a tooth comes and Robert got his fifty cents which he immediately spent on candy (maybe in hopes of losing more teeth?)

Pack Meeting

Our first Pack Meeting for Joseph in Cub Scouts. They made cars out of food (banana is car body, marshmallow wheels, lollipop driver, fruit gem steering wheel). Notice only the Cubs got to play the "Red light/Green light game" (bummer for siblings). Still, it was fun.

Artwork

I love the art program at the kids' elementary school.

Joseph's layer painting.

Held up to light, you can see all the layers.

Robert is displaying his owl drawing.

Elizabeth's chalk drawing of winter trees.

Elizabeth's artwork for their 4th grade WY state history project.

This picture is sideways, but looks good like this anyway.

Train engineer Cub Scout takes a break

Matthew loves trains! Of course, every 3 year old boy seems to. Last week, we played train with our hamper that has wheels...we took it into the bathroom, to the overflowing hamper and loaded up our train and wheeled it back into the laundry room. For the rest of the day, Matthew pushed the hamper around calling it a train and making stops. I was a little disconcerted when he had it full of his blankets and toys (I was wondering when I would get my hamper back).

For some reason, Matthew thinks that Joseph's Cub Scout hat is a train engineer hat. So, on the night of the hamper-train, Matthew the engineer took a much-needed potty-break...but he would not be parted from his brother's hat...it looked so cute!
