Welcome, Jumpers Junior (J.J.)!
After the kids' performance in Missoula Children's Theater, I wanted to do something special for them. Since Emma had done so well "raising" Aquasaurs (slimy, ugly little crustaceans), I decided to get the kids a little aquatic frog to put into the same bowl. And so we did. Emma named him "J.J." for Jumpers Junior (the original Jumpers was caught on a school field trip and let go by one of the stupid 5th grade boys).
J.J. quickly ate up all the small Aquasaurs, and we threw out onto the frozen porch the bigger ones because they wanted to chew on J.J.
So, here he is...we upgraded to a tank (provided for free by our landlord--we only had to purchase the filter and gravel) yesterday, for his one-week anniversary as being our pet. The bowl was getting too foggy too fast!
He can grow up to 5-10 inches long!
